Citizens Protecting Ohio (C-PRO) has a deadline of Aug. 5 to submit gathered signatures from voters in Ohio to put an amendment on the November ballot so that citizens can decide whether or not they want to be the dumping ground for radioactive waste from five surrounding states, as well as Ohio's.
So far, 14,632 signatures have been collected. 500,000 are needed! There are many opportunities this summer to go to public places and collect signatures. C-PRO has a list of county fairs and contact people in six regions of Ohio.
