
| Do It !!!! | Israeli military judge rejects detention appeal
by B'Tselem: The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, Jun 20, 1998 On June 16, 1998 a military judge heard Ossama Barham's appeal of administrative detention. Ossama was represented by Adv. Tamar Pelleg-Sryck of HaMoked: Center for the Defence of the Individual. This appeal was rejected. Ossama Barham is from Ramin in Tulkarm district. He was a journalism student at the Ibrahimi College in November 1993 when he was detained and held in administrative detention for ten months. He was released on September 3, 1994. Two weeks later, he was re-arrested and given a six-month administrative detention order. This detention order has been extended every since. Ossama's current administrative detention order expires in September, 1998 -- totaling four consecutive years in administrative detention. You can help put a stop to prolonged detention without trial. Write to those responsible urging them to release Ossam Barham.
