Monsanto's seed termination technology produces hybrid seed that produces plants with sterile seeds. The technology would eventually force all farmers around the world to buy their seed annually from the few remaining seed companies, since none of it would germinate a second year. NO SEED SAVING, and no protection from pollinating any other plants with terminator genes, so as to vastly reduce the biodiversity of plants! Eventually, only those genetically engineered varieties of crop plants commercially protected by patents would remain, since the seed companies would have complete control.

The Rural Advancement Fund International - USA (RAFI) has a letter-writing web page designed to help stop the USDA from carrying on corporate welfare for Monsanto with our tax dollars promoting seed terminator technology.
