There's nothing more inflaming to the souls of Arab and Muslim Americans than seeing US officials treating them as they are less American.
Case in point:
Mohammed Ibrahim, a 115 y/o American citizen from Palm Bay, Florida, has been illegally locked in Israel’s military prison system since February 17, 2025. Israeli occupation soldiers kidnapped him from his family’s home in al-Mazra’a ash-Sharqiya near Ramallah in the occupied Palestinian West Bank, three weeks after he arrived to visit relatives. Israel claims he threw stones at settlers, yet no trial has taken place and the allegations remain unproven, according to FB post by his supporter Sandra Ibraham.
"When he was taken, Mohammed weighed 108 pounds. Since that time, he has lost 22 pounds, bringing him down to 86 pounds. Troops blindfolded him at arrest, held him in harsh conditions, and confined him for months in 'quarantine' for a scabies infection he contracted in prison as a result of medical neglect by Israelis. His parents have seen him only three times via a courtroom camera and every visitation request has been denied."
Miss Ibraham stated, "The family’s ordeal has only gotten worse since Mohammed was abducted. Israeli settlers beat Mohammed’s cousin, 20-year-old American citizen Saifullah Kamel Musallet, to death on July 11, 2025. After his murder, U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee told the family that Mohammed “should never have been arrested” and promised to secure his release. But the Ambassador has done nothing as Mohammed has not been released, and weeks have passed with no progress."
US officials are guilty of dereliction of duty
* Mohammad Ibrahim has been among the people that top the list of hostages held by Israel in Trump's Gaza ceasefire deal. Even Hamas asked for his release and Israeli agreed to it.
* Later the US embassy in Israel and US State Dep. notified his family that their son was not among the freed hostages even though the ceasefire agreement called for the release of all women and children.
* The US government informed Ibrahim's family that Israel released only the women and children from Gaza and not the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
* His uncle said the family met 18 US lawmakers from both parties in Washington and pleaded with them to call for Mohammed's release. They were given beat around the bush. Democrats said, "We have no influence over Israel," and Republicans told them, "We are conducting behind the door diplomacy." In other words, bug off, he isn't American enough!
* President Trump went out of his way to meet all freed Israeli prisoners for a photo-op but ignored Mohammed's dilemma.
* US ambassador Mike Huckabee attended PM Netanyahu's corruption hearing but chose not to see Mohammed.
* Trump confessed to have given Netanyahu every weapon he asked for during the Gaza genocide, but he did not have the desperate desire to see Mohammed free.
* Sen. Tom Cotton (Ark-R) and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) asked the FBI and Treasury Department recently to examine whether the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has financial connections to Hamas and is violating US sanctions. Reasons? CAIR condemned the Israeli/US genocide in Gaza and demanded Mohammed Ibrahim's immediate release.
* What do you get out of lobbying on behalf a foreign lobbying organization that is not even registered according to US law? The answer is money and free trips to Israel.
Mohammed's mistreatment, as well as that of his family by Israel, President Trump, and US State Department, is very upsetting and to many American people, who are demanding that Mohammed should be freed immediately and unconditionally. Mohammed Ibrahim is being held on a Mickey Mouse charge of throwing stones on invading IDF army invading his parents' village in the occupied West Bank. Mohammad celebrated his 16th birthday behind bars away from his family and friends.
As a Palestinian American father, I feel the pain of the Ibrahim family and I will add, “Je Suis Mohammad”. It is a French slogan that means “I am Mohammed." Therefore, when you say, “Je Suis Mohammad,” you are in essence a supporter of the Mohammed Maher Ibrahim, a US teenager from Florida who is being held hostage in Israel on a Mickey Mouse charge of throwing stones at the invading IDF soldiers to his parents' village in the West Bank last February 17.
It’s up to us to stand up to our government sacrificing the rights of US citizens abused by Israel for silver coins. Otherwise, nobody else is coming to save us.
